Leaflets

Problems

  1. The District and Northern lines will be much busier than usual, as Network Rail is carrying out major works at Waterloo station.

  2. Lambeth North station will be closed due to lift replacement works.

  3. Lancaster Gate station will be closed due to lift replacement works.

  4. Holland Park station will be closed due to lift replacement works.

  5. There will be changes to the arrangement of northbound Northern line services, leading to potentially serious congestion at Camden Town and Euston stations.

  6. There will be a closure on London Overground between Highbury & Islington and Shadwell, and between Surrey Quays and New Cross.

Copy and layout

For significant sets of works like these, a leaflet is a great way to provide information, as it’s something a customer can take with them and refer back to later.

The copy needs to be as clear and concise as possible to avoid overwhelming the reader.

How the copy is arranged is vital, as customers will want to quickly scan the section that’s relevant to their needs and be able to pinpoint this information later.

A well-designed map or diagram can be very useful, to quickly explain a complicated closure or route.
