Issue

JOIN found that not enough users were making use of the different features available in their store to promote their job ads. This would impact the company’s revenue.

To do

Write copy for and design a guide that takes the user through the different features of the store.

Copy and design

For this task, it was important to carefully consider the information architecture. The store has a lot of features, and bombarding the user with information could risk overwhelming them.

Rather than arranging the guide in a linear fashion, I wanted to enable the user to jump ahead to the information most relevant to them. This would create a more personalised experience and encourage engagement.

It was also vital that the benefits of each feature be clearly laid out. In some places, I thought it would be useful to link to other pieces of content to provide in-depth exploration of features the user might want want more information on.

I started by mapping out the structure of the guide in Miro. Once this was signed off, I wrote the copy and worked with project managers to sign it off.

The guide was published using Stonly. You can explore it here.
